Belgravia is without a doubt one of London’s most storied and idyllic neighbourhoods, offering both grandeur and flair at every turn. But in truth the neighbourhood is about much more that history, today it is a bustling hive of creative hospitality and leading fashion that boasts some of the city’s finest architectural ambition. It could be said that there’s perhaps no better place to celebrate freedom – so here’s three things to mark the official start of summer.
One of London’s most iconic hotels The Lanesborough have just reopened their Michelin star restaurant Celeste. Why not celebrate with them and book a three course menu du jour from Monday to Friday until September 8th from just £43 per person. Celeste is one London’s best loved dining rooms with a domed glass roof and softly lit chandeliers. Honouring British heritage and provenance the menu takes you a culinary journey of flavours and stories.
Whilst on the matter of hotels and fine experiences – The Hari’s Garden Terrace is something to marvel. In partnership with No. 3 Gin this summer sees the arrival of four new cocktails. Gin & Tonic, served over ice with a sprig of rosemary and a slice of grapefruit; a Mediterranean Martini combining basil-infused No.3 Gin with Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth and a garnish of fried basil leaves; a Negroni with No.3 Gin, Campari, Vermut Lastau, Prosecco and topped with orange foam; and last but not least ‘Holiday in Paradise’, a refreshing concoction of basil-infused No.3 Gin, St Germain Elderflower Liqueur, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, sugar, with Merchant’s Heart Ginger Ale over the top and a garnish of dried tomatoes and basil. Cocktails start from £16.
And finally, something for the entire family with Peggy Porschen. Offering an afternoon tea with a twist – because we all need a little party? Pulling out all the stops and Peggy Porschen has teamed up with Olivia Burton, the seminal British accessories brand. The Peggy Porschen x Olivia Burton collection is a fabulous and playful homage to our age old tradition of tea and cake – where anything goes – and frequently does.
